Extraordinary Award for Social Commitment on the XV Anniversary of La Razón in Castille and Leon
On 29th September, in Valladolid, the newspaper La Razón celebrated the 15th anniversary of its publication in Castille and Leon. “Social Commitment Awards” were presented as part of this event. They are presented in recognition of the work and solidarity of those involved in initiatives which support civil society.
The award ceremony took place on 29th September at 20.00 hrs at the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid and coincided with the 15th anniversary of the first publication of LA RAZÓN in Castille and Leon.
Clece’s President, Cristóbal Valderas, accepted the «Extraordinary Award for Social Commitment» for Clece’s work on the integration of people from disadvantaged collectives into the workplace. Over the last 3 years, Clece has incorporated more than a thousand people from such collectives into jobs within the company in the Autonomous Community of Castille and Leon. During the course of the year it has signed several collaboration agreements with the Town Halls of Valladolid, Medina del Campo and Miranda de Ebro, continuing its work promoting workplace integration and also facilitating training opportunities, campaigning, raising social awareness and organizing events which are specially focused on enabling the integration and social mobility of people with disabilities, those who are victims of gender-based violence, those at risk of social exclusion, and young unemployed people.
So in May this year, in Valladolid, the Clece Integration Forum IV, entitled “Employing Talent”, took place. Its aim was to address the workplace integration of socially vulnerable collectives. For this and other contributions, it was considered that Clece merited the Extraordinary Award for Social Commitment to the Castille and Leon Community.
The Mayor of Valladolid, the Castille and Leon Delegation Representative, and the President of the Castille and Leon Regional Government were present at the event, which was also attended by key representatives from the world of politics and finance and social and cultural spheres.
