Clece to provide 25,000 users with home help services in Madrid

Madrid Town Hall, through the Government’s Equality, Social Rights and Employment Area has awarded Clece a contract to provide Home Help Services, SAD, in order to cover the needs of 25,000 users in their own homes every year. The contract, which is worth 191.82 million Euros, commences from 1st July and lasts for 36 months, a period which can be extended.

Clece now assumes responsibility for providing personal and home care to users of the municipal service. These are, amongst others, elderly people over 65 years-of-age who have personal autonomy issues and are in need of support, people with disabilities under 65 years-of-age, and people registered as dependent with the Community of Madrid.

Clece has a multidisciplinary team with more than 150 coordinators and assistant coordinators and 3,000 home help assistants. Clece will also implement a series of technological improvements which involve installing its own management software and Bluetooth presence monitoring systems. Amongst other aspects, users will also benefit from home alterations, care home places, technical assistance, welcome packs and meal services on specified dates.

The award implies a widening of the services management which Clece has provided since 2012 for dependent people who are resident in the Madrid districts of Retiro, Usera, Puente de Vallecas, Moratalaz, Villaverde, Villa de Callecas, Vicálvaro and San Blas-Canillejas. The contract means that Clece now provides services to 86,800 people through its team of 21,400 professionals, strengthening the company’s position at national level as one of the main operators providing home help.
