Incorpora Awards recognise Clece’s social commitment in La Rioja

Logroño, 22 January 2016. Clece has been awarded the Incorpora Award by La Caixa, in the “Great Company”, category, in La Rioja. These awards, which are specific to each region of Spain, recognise the work of companies and organisations that are committed to helping people from vulnerable social groups find work.

The head of Social Policy, Family, Equality and Justice of La Rioja regional government, Conrado Escobar, the councillor for Family and Equal Opportunities for Logroño city council, Paloma Corres, the director of the Business division of CaixaBank in Logroño, Isabel Moreno, and the director of the Department of Social and Occupational Integration of ‘la Caixa’ Banking Foundation, Jaume Farré, presented the awards at an event held at the Espacio Lagares.

Clece has been involved in the  Incorpora programme in La Rioja from the start, which has led to 45 new jobs, 34 through the Special Employment Centre Integra CEE, and 11 through Clece. These jobs have contributed to the fact that, out of the current workforce of 608 members of staff in La Rioja, a hundred are people with particular difficulties in finding work, such as people with disabilities, victims of gender-based violence, people in situations of social exclusion and young unemployed people.

“At Clece we believe that businesses are the main beneficiaries of having workers from vulnerable social groups,” stated José Andrés Elizaga, director of communication and external relations at Clece. “They are bearers of highly important values such as self-improvement and hard work, and working with them is always both motivational and gratifying. Their presence is synonymous with more collaborative and socially committed working environments.”

Along with Clece, the other organisations to receive awards this year were Globalhost, Trabajo Social y Servicios La Rioja (Tsys), ‘La Palmera’ Pastries and Noticias de La Rioja.
