Málaga city council and Clece sign agreement to help people facing social exclusion find work

  • This agreement seeks to respond to the need for Domiciliary Care Service staff, for which demand grew by 25 per cent in 2014, while also helping people from vulnerable social groups gain access to work.
  • Currently more than a thousand auxiliary staff provide care for 2,200 people with dependency needs in the city.
  • The agreement means opening up vacancies to 70 accredited people at risk of social exclusion.

Málaga, 14 July 2015 – Clece, the leading multiservices company, has signed a collaboration agreement with Málaga city council to help people from more disadvantaged social groups find work, with the aim of responding to the need for Domiciliary Care Service staff and providing work opportunities for people at risk of social exclusion.

Domiciliary care has experienced sustained growth since January 2011, when Clece began providing the service throughout the whole of the city. Currently around a thousand auxiliary staff provide care for around 2,200 people with dependency needs, and in the past year alone demand for the service has grown by 25 per cent.

The initiative will initially open up 70 new vacancies for candidates who meet the social exclusion profile to strengthen the Domiciliary Care Service in Málaga.

The service has continued to grow in recent years. In 2014 alone, 785 new users were registered, and for 2015 the figure is 369 new users to date. These highly positive figures show the excellent work being done by Clece professionals to improve the quality of life, autonomy, family environment and safety of people with dependency needs in Málaga.

The service that Málaga city council provides through Clece is not aimed solely at people with dependency requirements, but also at people with occasional needs to help combine work and family life, for mothers with large families, raising children as a single parent, following multiple births in the first few days back at home after the birth, etc. As well as providing personal care, social support and help around the home, other services are included, such as hairdressing, pedicure or home repairs, as well as various other kinds of service provision.

The agreement between Málaga city council and Clece is yet another initiative in the solid, far-reaching work being carried out by the Group through its social project, Clece Social, which is based on four key aspects of employability, integration, raising awareness and caring for people from disadvantaged social groups. The company itself and the 5,032 people from social groups that can struggle to find work put a face a name to the commitment that the Clece Group has to these people.
