CLECE REINFORCES ITS PRESENCE IN PORTUGAL THROUGH MANAGING ITS FIRST CARE HOME FOR THE ELDERLY IN THE COUNTRY

Clece S.A. has been awarded the management and operation of the Domus Mater Dei Care Home for the elderly. This is situated in the Fátima area of Portugal.  The service started operating on 1st August 2017.

This is the first such award to Clece and involves the integrated management of a care home for the elderly in Portugal, specifically in Fátima, the main religious centre for the country.

The home now operated by Clece cares for elderly people who have difficulty in living independently and provides services which meet their day-to-day care requirements. The project is a new stage in the history of the centre. Based on the innovation and excellence Clece can bring to the care home, it will make it a benchmark in the provision of care for the elderly.

Domus Mater Dei dates from 2014 and has places for 60 residents. The centre also offers several different types of room: 2 suites for couples, 8 individual rooms, and 22 double rooms. The care home has a team of professional specialists, each offering different services to support users during their stay, for example, providing menus which are specially adapted to the needs of each resident, a gymnasium, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, a hairdressers, a library and a nursing facility which is open 24 hours a day.

The award reinforces the company’s international presence, specifically in Portugal, where 2,200 of its professionals have been operating across the territory since 2010.
