Incorpora Award in Asturias and Madrid

  • More than 13 per cent of Clece workforce in Asturias and Madrid from vulnerable social groups

Madrid, October 2015. Clece has been awarded the Incorpora Award by La Caixa, in the “Great Company”, category, in the Principality of Asturias and the Region of Madrid. These awards, which are specific to each region of Spain, recognise the work of companies and organisations that are committed to helping people from vulnerable social groups find work.

Such recognition is only possible thanks to close collaboration in the selection process between Clece and the collaborating organisations: Cocemfe in Asturias and Pinardi in Madrid. These collaborations mean integration figures of more than 13 per cent have been reached. In Asturias, for example, Clece has 982 employees, of whom 18 per cent are from disadvantaged social groups. In Madrid, from a workforce of 13,649 people, 14 per cent fit the profile of people from social groups who struggle to find work.

Jose Andrés Elizaga, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at Clece, stated: “The Incorpora Programme is fully in line with the company’s social commitment, as one of our main areas of social action is helping socially vulnerable people find work. To achieve this, Clece collaborates with more than 200 associations, and that is why we are delighted to take part in this great initiative by La Caixa, as it shows that making an effort will always bring results. We’re thrilled with these awards, and would like to share them with our collaborators and, of course, with our staff.”

The criteria used by the jury to select the winning candidates include the number of contracts of vulnerable people with regard to the workforce as a whole, the profile of workers who have been integrated and the average duration of contracts.

The trophy for the awards was designed by the prestigious designer Andre Ricard and produced by the Mas Casadevall.
