International Day for Disabled People. Journey to Diversity

There are currently 5,715 employees in Clece who have functional differences. A large number of these work through its Special Employment Centre, Grupo Integra. To raise awareness of the benefits of incorporating their talent within the company, various initiatives have been promoted as part of International Day for Disabled People.

In Madrid, the “Journey to Diversity” initiative invited citizens to experience at first-hand some of the barriers this wide collective has to overcome on a daily basis. Having to use a wheel chair, using reduced vision spectacles and deaf language guides were some of the ideas. In Valladolid, the Faculty of Education and Social Work hosted Technical Seminar I on Employment and Disability. The seminar was attended by more than 170 people. Its objective was to generate synergies, new lines of collaboration, and acquire better knowledge about how to achieve real equality of rights.
