1st Conference on Architecture and Alzheimer’s
The therapeutic effect that architecture can have in the treatment of various diseases seems increasingly clear. When the diagnosis is Alzheimer’s, the influence becomes even greater. This is one of the main ideas expressed at the 1st Conference on Alzheimer’s and Architecture, hosted by Clece at the Queen Sofía Foundation Alzheimer’s Centre.

CLECE continues to aim for equality
Since July 2009 all 50,000 CLECE employees have benefited from the firm’s new Equality Plan. The agreement gives shape to CLECE policy on this matter with measures to guarantee the principle of equal treatment and equal opportunities between men and women. In a similar initiative CLECE’s subsidiary company Multiservicios Aeroportuarios (in which Iberia also has a stake) has just subscribed to its own Equality Plan.

CLECE secures the cleaning contract for the Civil Guard and National Police
CLECE has been awarded the cleaning contract for all premises of the Directorate General of the Police and Civil Guard throughout Spain for 2010 and 2011.

CLECE earns “Mediterranean Food” accreditation
The catering services in the Arnau de Vilanova university hospital and the Santa María hospital (both in Lleida) have earned the “Mediterranean Food” accreditation from the AMED organisation, as well as the UNE EN ISO 22000:2005 standard in food safety for the Arnau de Vilanova university hospital.
